Being seen is half of credibility. How the firm builds visibility that carries edification with it, for executives and public figures whose names should open doors.
Executive visibility is one of the three disciplines the firm names in its own description, beside personal branding and reputation architecture. MCG treats it as a measured discipline: where a person appears, who speaks for them there, and whether the work reaches anyone at all.
The Firm’s Position
Trust, in the Manifesto, is the understanding that a person has good intentions, will follow through, and makes claims that are accurate. Credibility is built through the consistent exchange of influence: other credible people and outlets speaking for you.
Every opportunity can be judged on two measures: visibility, how large the opportunity is, and edification, the quality of the endorsement it carries.
Credibility is built through the consistent exchange of influence through forms of edification.
Personal Branding: A Manifesto on Fame and Influence, Second Edition, 5.4
Omnipresence and Credibility each carry a quarter of the Brand Audit's composite. Distribution decides whether the work reaches anyone; Seamless Branding decides whether people recognize it when it does. The full entry: Building Credibility.
The second pillar, weighted 25 percent: trust that your claims are accurate and your word holds, built through third-party edification rather than follower counts.
The first of The Five Personal Brand Pillars, weighted 25 percent: visible and discoverable, whenever and wherever possible. Today that includes search results and AI answers.
Coverage a journalist, editor, producer, or host chose to give: an article, an interview, a podcast invitation, a speaking slot. It is distinct from paid placement and from newswire distribution, which can support the work but are not features.
How work reaches the people it is for. Distribution partners carry it to the platforms and stores an audience already uses, and lend it authority by association.
The phrase front and center in your elevator pitch, your biographies, and your profiles: a personal hook with a professional punchline. It is adjusted for length, never for substance.
A ready package that tells journalists, hosts, and event organizers who someone is: biographies, approved photographs, topics, and past coverage. The Manifesto's advice is to keep it current, so a new biography and new photos go in as soon as they exist.
AEO: making accurate information about a person easy for AI assistants to find, understand, and cite when someone asks who they are. Answer engines draw on what is published, consistent, and cited by others, which makes AEO the newest part of Omnipresence.
Tip 205: Tell Local Media Your NewsWhen you do something newsworthy, send a brief note to a local station, paper or podcast that covers your area. Lead with why their audience should care.
Tip 188: Follow the Journalists on Your BeatFind five journalists who write about your profession for outlets you want to appear in. Subscribe to their newsletters and watch for source requests.
Tip 329: Own Your Name in SearchSearch your name. If no site of your own appears near the top, secure a domain in your name and publish a simple personal site.
Tip 277: Widen Distribution Before LaunchAhead of your next release, list every platform and store your audience uses. Choose broad distribution over exclusivity unless you have a clear reason.
Advice Isaac Mashman has given on this subject on his own shows and in interviews, as the Doctrine Library cites it, each linked to its transcript. Credibility
Do Not Call Yourself an Expert Before You Are One
Remove expert, guru, or master from your bio unless your hours and results back it. Describe your experience in plain, checkable terms instead.
“are they really experts”

Look at your profile as a stranger would. If someone could not tell within seconds what you make or do, rewrite the bio, the header, and the pinned post until they could.

More executives are becoming the public face of their companies. The ones who do it well build a presence before a crisis or a stock price asks them to.
Approach people above you at or near their level, briefly, with a reason that serves them. The Manifesto treats it as one of the simplest ways to build credibility.
Documenting your day is easier than creating from scratch, and distribution partners carry that work to the platforms and stores your audience already uses.
Your name is already being interpreted. The question is who are they, and what are they thinking?
Engagements are accepted by application and seats are limited each quarter. Tell us who you are, what you are building, and the position you intend to hold.
