Personal Branding

What is a personal brand, really?

It's your reputation — what people say about you when you're not in the room, and what shows up when your name is searched. It is not a logo, a color palette, or a posting schedule. Those are expressions of a brand; they aren't the brand itself.

Do I actually need a personal brand?

You already have one. Having a reputation is part of being human — it existed before social media and it exists whether you participate or not. The real question is whether your reputation is built deliberately, by you, or assembled by accident from whatever people happen to find. MCG exists for people who choose the first option.

I'm not trying to be famous. Is this still for me?

Fame at global scale is one outcome, not the goal. Most of our clients are building authority in a specific field — becoming the most trusted name in their niche, which is where credibility, clients, and opportunities actually come from. Being known by the right ten thousand people beats being vaguely recognized by a million.

What is Identity Positioning™?

Our proprietary methodology, developed by founder Isaac Mashman. It merges your personal identity with your professional career so the combination builds public authority, demonstrates competence, and creates a following loyal to you — not to any single platform. It rests on four pillars addressed in sequence: Education, Mindset, Branding, and Marketing.

What makes MCG different from other personal branding consultants?

Three things. First, philosophy: we were the first firm to articulate a complete philosophy of personal branding — treating it as part of the human condition rather than a marketing tactic. Second, proprietary IP: a published methodology, a bestselling book, a diagnostic audit, AI technology, and a training platform, all our own. Third, ethics: everything we build is organic. We have never paid for a placement, a follower, or a headline — and we never will.

Why "organic only"? Wouldn't shortcuts be faster?

Faster to acquire, faster to collapse. A position that can be bought can be bought out from under you — purchased followers don't convert, manufactured press doesn't survive scrutiny, and audiences can smell both. Authority that's demonstrated rather than claimed compounds for decades. That's the only kind we build.

Do you guarantee results or "going viral"?

No — and you should be suspicious of anyone who does. Virality is a lottery ticket; a position is an asset. What we commit to is a rigorous process, honest assessment, and strategy that compounds. Clients who do the work see their authority, visibility, and opportunities grow — but no ethical consultant guarantees a specific outcome, because no honest one can.

Engagements

How does an engagement actually work?

Four movements. The Audit: an honest scoring of your current presence across five brand pillars. The Position: defining the authority you intend to hold, in writing. The Build: working sessions translating that strategy into messaging, platforms, and press positioning. The Relationship: ongoing counsel as your position compounds — because personal brands are built over years, not sessions.

What does it cost?

Bespoke virtual consultations begin at $3,500. In-person engagements begin at $5,000 and scale with scope. Speaking engagements are quoted separately. Exact pricing is confirmed during the application process once we understand your goals — and seats are limited each quarter, deliberately.

How long until I see results?

Foundation moves quickly — your positioning, messaging, and presence can transform in the first engagement. Authority compounds over months and years. Anyone promising a transformed reputation in thirty days is describing a campaign, not a brand. We build the latter.

Will I work with Isaac directly or another consultant?

Depending on availability and fit, you may work with Isaac, an MCG consultant, or a vetted consultant partner. Every consultant carrying the MCG name has been independently vetted and trained in Identity Positioning™ — same methodology, same ethics, same standard, regardless of whose calendar you're on.

Do you work with clients outside Little Rock?

Yes — MCG is headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas and built to serve clients anywhere in the world. Most engagements are conducted virtually; in-person engagements are available by arrangement.
